downsizing

I love breaking in shoes. especially the blisters. /sarcasm

I have a really bad habit of hanging on to clothes that don't fit. "i'll lose weight and be able to wear them again" which would be fine except I leave them in my closet and try them on ALL the time. and then I get disappointed and go eat an ice cream sundae or something. AWESOME. so I've cleaned my closet out. anything and everything that doesn't fit. (which leaves my closet looking pretty pitiful. ) ken, a couple friends, and I are heading to the flea market on Sunday to try and get rid of a couple things. anything I don't sell is getting donated on the way home. which means even more motivation for losing! CLOTHES SHOPPING!!!!! seriously, love it!

well anyway, I've lost 4.4 pounds! woo! totally makes the blisters worth it!! I've been going to the gym only a couple days a week, but I've been doing Zumba (thanks YouTube!) at home when I don't go.

hope everyone has an amazing day! Im heading to the kitchen to prep dinner for tomorrow!

little by little

i'm down to 281.3. woo!

the hospital has this program called lighten up 4 life. it's a competition to lose weight and be healthy! you form teams of four and have 3 months to lose as much as you can healthily. (did I just make that word up? anyway...). so four of us signed up and I'm excited! winning team gets $100 gift cards. love the extra incentive!!

at the gym today I hit a personal best and I'm pretty excited about that!

well hopefully you see more of me... but no promises..

what does that say?

well since my last post, I've gained weight.

when I started my new job I knew that changes would come.  however, I didn't exactly think they would be on the scale.  I never realized how much moving I did at the restaurant.  of course I knew I was running my butt off but I didn't realized quite how much I suppose.  so when I changed jobs, I changed nothing else.  big mistake...

I decided one day to weight myself while at work.  I go into triage, turn on the scale, step on... what? 298.1, by far the scariest number I've ever seen.  I REFUSE to be 300 pounds.  so since discovering such a scary number on the scale I've joined a gym, tried to eat better and have lost 8.5 pounds.  side note: I actually lost 11 pounds, but then I went on vacation.  :o/

so even though I'm an awful blogger, we are going to try this again......
